Morons

08:06 The problem is that people are sheep, and will always choose the known - however bad they may have proven themselves to be - over the utterly unknown. And that, my friends, is why the (proven) liar at Number 10 will get re-elected.

Like a bird

10:48 Went to see (and hear) Ladysmith Black Mambazo at the Corn Exchange last night. Stunning stuff. Their special guest was a chap called Vusi Mahlasela. He sat on stage with an acoustic guitar and blew me away with the power and range of his voice. Incredible.

Govt screws up again, film at 11

11:25 What this article fails to point out is that the reduction in A&E waiting times is at the cost of inpatients being screwed around. I have an elder friend who cancelled a holiday so she could have some surgery on her spinal column this month instead of waiting until nearly Christmas. Two days before she was due to be admitted the hospital (Addenbrookes) rang up to say that her appointment had been cancelled to make room for emergencies.

That is the cost of this 'target' exercise.
