12:05 Gawker is a little tool that you can use to run the built-in iSight in your Intel iMac as a web cam. Or security cam. And stream over the 'net so that, just hypothetically, I could watch my office space from home. Neat.

Works with any camera, actually; it's also open source. W00ty.

Chafing noodles

It's our fourteenth wedding anniversary today. Which is pretty amazing any way you slice it. And as if by magic, this little gem was on the back of the pack of noodles that gave its life for our dinner tonight:

4. Chafing Noodle: Put the ready noodle into a boiling hotpot to cook for 1—2 minutes, and then serve after dressing

No wonder they chafe.
